Despite the endless rhetoric of a so-called New Gambia, Gambians and foreigners alike, are increasingly living in terror due to the skyrocketing crime rate in our motherland today and yet, the crumbling regime is busy selling away their deluded gimmicks of Change. Yes, arguably, there is a big massive change since the ending of January; but is it for the best or for the very worst?
Although we’ve lost count of the many murder cases that already occurred under these Useless bunch of clueless and incompetent Old-Timers – However, 18 murder cases were noted down in the first (3 Months) quarter of their misrule and not to mention the violent armed robberies etc…Days ago, another unidentified Lady was allegedly tortured and brutally killed by her attacker; before dumping her lifeless body on our Streets in Manjai-Kunda. Her attacker is yet to be apprehended by the police and giving the gruesome and heartless nature of her killer, many communities across the country are living in absolute fear like never before.
Meanwhile, the USELESS ‘ECOMIG-FORCES’ are idly roaming our streets and getting paid lots of money for literally doing nothing but eating, drinking and running after women.
In fact, it is very obvious that they are hellbent on wrecking our society by turning it into a lawless nation so they can keep extending their mandate to stay longer.
Regardless of what their so-called mouth-pieces may have to say in defence of their illegitimate mandate to invade our motherland, money is their main motivation and not out of love and sense of security for Gambians as a Nation.
PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE FROM ONE OF THE LATEST VICTIM’S OF ‘VIOLENT-ARMED-ROBBERY’ IN THE GAMBIA – TAKEN FROM HIS FACEBOOK POST…VERBATIM!!!
WRONG with the NEW Gambia??? Where is suddenly all this criminality coming from?
Yesterday evening at 7 pm I was violently ROBBED by 4 guys INSIDE my house in Tujereng, The Gambia. I was working on my laptop in the living room when 4 men suddenly jumped on me from behind. With knives, screwdrivers and glass bottles they threatened to kill me if I didn’t give them all my money.
The minute all 4 were out of the room I managed to free myself and I quickly locked the bedroom door (made of heavy wood). After 10-15 minutes of not hearing anything anymore, I came out of the room. The front door was wide open and the robbers were gone. They took the cash, my laptop, iPhone, two desktop computers, hard drives& backups (with all my dearest picture souvenirs of my life), my wallet, (all my cards, driver license, etc), my briefcase (with for me valuable documents)…
When my hands stopped shaking and my heartbeat was back to a “normal” rhythm, I drove to the Police station of Tujereng. Two officers came back with me (in my car) to the house where I explained to them what happened.
There I saw that they didn’t found my old iPad on which I’m writing now this story. Later we drove around in the area, went to the neighbours, questioned some people, but…no trace of the criminals. I dropped the officers back at the station and came home. For 7 years I lived peacefully in that house in Tujereng, I never expected to be robbed with so much violent aggression in my own house and during evening time!! I’m shocked and I feel dirty, tired, of pain and very very sad.
I know that the Gambian Police doesn’t have the means (cars with petrol, phones and credits, computers, etc.), the capacity and the proper guidance to control and protect and, if necessary, to find and arrest those criminals. House-jacking with violence has to be taken as a serious crime, especially in a country that calls itself the “smiling coast” and values its Tourism industry! It’s going too far, something has to be done!
It’s sad, even heartbreaking for me to say this, but: I don’t feel safe or secured anymore in The Gambia… 😢Feel free to share so every citizen is aware of the danger.
IT IS HIGH TIME THAT WE DEMAND THE DEPARTURE OF ALL THE ‘USELESS ECOMIC FORCES’ OUT OF OUR COUNTRY. THEY HAVE TO GO NOW HENCE THEY CANNOT MAINTAIN THE PEACE AND SECURITY OF OUR MASSES.
TIME FOR THEM TO LEAVE AND WE BRING BACK OUR OWN BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO TAKE BACK THE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF OUR SECURITY AS A NATION.
